There is a lot to be said for hard work and dedication. There are times though when working hard is not enough. Do you ever find yourself working toward the wrong things? Or working yourself towards the wrong goal, you seem to get nowhere. If you have ever felt this way, you are not alone. Most people find it easy to get bent out of shape, but itโ€™s better to learn from your mistakes and find a better way. He has a lot of stories, and has heโ€™s learned, you need to Work Hard, Donโ€™t Suck.

2022 Benefit Ride…REPLAY: Project Delta, Providing Service Dogs to Veterans in Needโ€ฆ with Patti Robinson

Well my friends, it has finally happened, I have the Covid-19… It’s bound to catch us all at some point and this is my week. I’m beyond the worst of it, but not feeling up to doing a whole show, so I thought I’d take this opportunity to run a replay of one of my great guest interviews. In light of the fact that there is another benefit ride coming up for this great organization, I’ve decided to run a replay of episode 65 where I spoke with Patti Robinson about Project-Delta.

Where do veteransโ€™ service dogs come from?
Have you ever wondered about those service dogs that work with our countryโ€™s veterans? Are you someone with a passion for animals, and specifically a passion for rescue animals? I recently had an opportunity to sit down with Patti Robinson of Project Delta, a non-profit organization that teams rescue dogs with veterans suffering from things such as PTSD, traumatic brain injuries and MST. Project Delta is a team of like-minded people from around the country that share a passion for supporting two of the most deserving groups, veterans & forgotten or abandoned dogs.

Project โ€œDeltaโ€(Dogs Enriching Lives Throughout America) is the result of the unrelenting ache in the heart of founder Patti Robinson and you can read more about them by clicking hereโ€ฆ

Episode 82: From Widow to Warrior, Adversity to Awesomeness… with Gold Star Wife Barbara Allen

Friends, I have talked about it time and time again on the DTH podcast, the victim mentality just produces more victimhood. This week’s guest knows all to well what it’s like to be a victim, be stuck in the warm waters of victimhood, and the results that brings. She is also one that knows how to pull herself out of that pool and become a warrior, and inspiration to others that no longer wish toย  be a victim. Her story is truly one of adversity to awesomeness…

Barbara Allen is someone who has more than a few reasons she could play the perpetual victim card, could be bitter at her country, and could wallow in the depths of pity, but that is not the path she has chosen. Instead, after periods of being both actively, and passively suicidal, and most certainly self-destructive after the murder of her husband by another soldier while deployed in Iraq, Barbara one day had enough of being “the victim”. This is such a powerful and inspiring conversation with a true patriot that is doing incredible things to better the lives of others and the country she loves. DO NOT MISS THIS EPISODE!!
