Background:
My name is Wilk Wilkinson. I'm a husband and father living in the rural Midwest. I have worked in trucking and transportation for more than two decades -- my entire professional life.
At the start of the pandemic, I began a podcast called "Derate The Hate" because I wanted to better attitudes and help bring our divided country back together.
I didn't know if anyone would listen, but I felt I had something to say.
Since then, "Derate The Hate" has grown beyond my wildest dreams. It has brought me together with many incredible Americans who were concerned about the same things I was, even when we didn’t see things the same way.
From now through Election Day, I plan to publish a series of short clips with a handful of the amazing guests who have joined me on "Derate The Hate".
There are ten weeks between now and November 5, so I plan to highlight ten of these guests. Each week, one new guest.
I hope these clips inspire you to reconnect with people in your life who have been ripped away by our toxic politics.
